Leaked videos and images on the Internet seems so common ground lately. Actors like Kate Upton, Jennifer Lawrence, and Kaley Cuoco have all fallen victim to what some have colloquially called “The Fappening”. WWE’s Paige (real name Saraya-Jade Bevis) is the next victim to this horrific trend. On March 17th, 2017 a set of videos and pictures were revealed to twitter and reddit showing what seemed to be the woman wrestler in sexual activities. The suggestive videos would also feature other wrestlers including Brad Maddox and Xavier Woods. Paige would personally respond to the occurrence stating…
“Personal and private photos of mine were stolen and unfortunately they were shared publicly without my consent”
The Internet is a place where no punches are pulled; some users would make memes about the occurrence praising Superstar Brad Maddox for his actions with others following the same theme of making fun of the situation at Paige’s expense.
The WWE as of the past week has made no comment about the situation. It seems their strategy is to ignore the issue and hoping that it will soon go away. Many other public figures though have made comments about the situation including WWE Alums Booker T, Diamond Dallas Page, and her parents
“I’d like to bitch slap him [the person/people who leaked the data] in front of everybody…hopefully she will be back and it is what it is”
-Diamond Dallas Page

Dave Meltzer a highly regarded insider and journalist in the world of professional wrestling explains that the WWE will wait for this to blow over and take care of it from there.
““I did hear from WWE, and they didn’t say anything specific, but they’re not going to do anything to anybody … the gist of it is that they’re going to wait for it to blow over … if for some reason it doesn’t, they may have to change. Right now, they’re waiting for it to blow over,”
Personally I think this might be the best plan of action for the company. The “blowing it over” move is probably the best move because something else in the world will get the people’s attention, and they will forget this even happen
If I had led the team I would ask all parties involved to take some time off of social media, so not to draw further attention to themselves. When it comes to malicious fans I would most likely ignore them because blocking or deleting their opinions would open another can of worms.
Some things don’t need a response, sometimes the best plan of action is no action.
